Got caught by both the conductor Brent Havens and vocalist Brody Dolyniuk for NOT standing up or dancing or singing along during the Music of Queen concert today.
Sorry bro,
a) it's the MPO after all, not Stadium Merdeka;
b) if I stand up I'd block the views of the people behind me;
c) I was more interested looking at the musicians because Brody's vocal was just so-so and
d) because I don't want to. I did clap and sing along, I was just not going to dance like the girls in front of me who only knew 2 songs (guess which ones).
By the way I was more of a rockstar than the vocalist who was dressed like he was in One Direction AND acted like he was Jim Carrey.
MPO musicians were excellent as usual though I caught two cellist screwing up a couple of notes at the same time and they looked at each other and broke into a little giggle.
Verdict: I enjoyed the Led Zep tribute concert much better coz it had a better vocalist with better showmanship. And speaking of showmanship, them folks could learn a thing or two from Heart:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFxOaDeJmXk
