On the 5th of March 2016, 6:30pm Vallette Gallery (address: 22, Jalan Bruas, Damansara Heights, 50490 Kuala Lumpur) will have the pleasure of welcoming one of the most skilled reporter of his generation. An international icon of war phototography, journalist, war correspondent and documentary film realisator: Coskun Aral.
The evening talk will be launched by her Excellency Basak Turkoglu.The ambassador of Turkey in Malaysia.
Coskun Aral is a multi faceted photographer. His interview with the hijackers of an aircraft on October 14,1980 created a stir in press circles and received awards in both Turkey and abroad. Since, Coşkun Aral has been working actively as a war correspondent,photographing various conflicts from around the world.
His images from Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Northern Ireland, Chad and the Far-East have appeared in Time, Newsweek, Paris Match, Stern and Epoca, as well as other magazines. In 1986, he began working as a television war correspondent for the program 32nd Day, and produced a TV news documentary program called Haberci (The Reporter).
His outstanding work and photographs have earned him recognition from his peers and was featured by many magazines including the Times, NewsWeek, Paris Match and Spiegel several times.
